WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT ME — OR AT LEAST WHAT THEY SAY TO MY FACE?_______________________________________________________________________

DEAN LEE
Executive Creative Director at Zulu Alpha Kilo

I had the pleasure of working with Chris for over six years at DDB Vancouver. Chris is an excellent art director and a craftsman who meticulously finesses his projects. He has produced many award-winning campaigns including stand out assignments for BC Hydro, BC Lotteries and the Canadian Dental Association to name just a few.

Chris is thoughtful in his process. He leaves no rock unturned as he explores many routes and angles on cracking a creative brief. I’ve seen him burn the midnight oil long after everyone else has retired for the evening to make sure he has the best possible solution to meet a client’s needs. Not only is Chris dedicated to his work; he is dedicated to his team. He is always looking for ways to inspire his teammates and always looking for ways to inject fun into the culture of the organization. Chris’ playful attitude and hard work ethic is a rare combination making him a well-rounded creative resource.

I have no hesitation in recommending Chris to be part of your creative pool.

COSMO CAMPBELL
Chief Creative Officer at DDB Canada

I'm not a big fan of references and here's the reason why: A reference can't tell you about someone's character or work ethic, it can't tell you about their personality and ability to fit in with their co-workers. They can't tell you about someone’s dedication to their craft and determination to get things done on a tight deadline without compromising the end product.

They're usually one persons perspective of another set in type, expressing in glowing terms that individual’s abilities. And if that's what a reference is meant to be, then this is not one of them.

Let me tell you a bit about what I've learned from working with Chris Moore for the past five years, that you wouldn't find in a normal reference: He works until all hours of the night. He never complains. He has a crazy sense of humour. He's incredibly dedicated, to his craft, his co-workers and having fun. He has a strong opinion, but is not bossy. He's a great conceptual thinker and a loyal partner. He's a trend hunter and loves to share all the things he finds. When people say a place has a great culture, he is that culture. Sure, he has some faults, but he takes ownership of them and is constantly trying to improve. He has a positive attitude, a sickeningly positive attitude. He loves to live life, whether it's snowboarding, mountain biking or any number of other exciting activities and he brings that love of those experiences to his work.

If you're looking for someone normal for your team, Chris probably isn't the right guy. But if you're looking for an individual who's truly unique they don't come much better than Chris Moore.

NEIL SHAPIRO
Creative Director/Copywriter at Wasserman & Partners

Chris is an art director. He can make drop shadows and kern and do all that stuff writers can’t do, and that’s to be expected. It’s what you might not expect that really separates him from the pack. His enthusiasm, his drive to do breakthrough work and his gregariousness are the qualities that really make Chris a great addition to any creative department.

MIKE FELIX
Chief Creative Officer, dentsu Aotearoa

Don't let his genuine, selfless and personable demeanour fool you, he crushes briefs like cheap trinkets and turns them into rare metal.

PAUL CATMUR
Partner/founder, Barnes, Catmur & Friends

Chris stopped off his travels around New Zealand to spend a few months with us. He's not a bad bloke (for a Canadian) and managed to get himself into D&AD, showing plenty of gumption to go along with his ideas. I wish him well.

PAM FRASER
CD at Y&R Chicago

I worked with Chris years ago when he was just starting out. You could see the potential then and it's reflected in his work now. Chris has a great attitude and a creative mind. He's also fun to be around which helps in an industry that we dedicate so many hours to. I would love to work with him again one day.

JARROD BANADYGA
Creative Director at The Social House

If I had to describe Chris in one word, it would be "prolific."

If I had to describe him in seven words, it would be "prolific, with a lot of chest hair."

He always made me feel like less of a man.

This isn't a very good recommendation, is it?

DAN SCHERK
Partner and Creative Director at Traction Creative Communications

Chris was ranked the #5 top Art Director in Canada last year.
But he's #1 in my book.
A great guy, who does great work.

GREG KIELTYKA
ACD ZUlu alpha kilo

Chris was my first Creative Director. And even though, at the time, his title formally read ACD, he took it upon himself to make sure the work produced by our creative department was always at an extremely high standard.

Chris is a true believer of creative excellence, originality and ingenuity. And his dedication to create new, groundbreaking ideas is infectious. As an ACD, he's supportive and collaborative and works extremely hard to help elevate creative.

All of this contributes to his incredible mentorship. He sees potential in people and he knows how to bring it out. He advocates concept-first creative that pushes juniors to really think and develop their skills.

Time and time again, he's proven that he's a talented Art Director, a supportive, collaborative, yet demanding Creative Director. Hire him already!
