Campaign: The Warehouse —Playable Notebook

Brian Adams owned Warehouse Studio—frequented by the likes of Elton John, Nine Inch Nails and Iggy Pop—tasked us with designing a notebook that musicians would want to take on tour, to remind musicians where they should record their next album. Armed with the insight that inspiration can strike at any moment, we created a notebook with a fully-functioning guitar cover.
From the laser-etched, anodized aluminum base to the pen that doubles as the book’s tuning tool, the Guitar Book is the most rock ‘n’ roll notebook ever created. Bands lost their minds for these, and supplies of this limited release promo item ended up being snatched up in days.

Fentanyl overdoses have reached epidemic levels—the major cause being fentanyl showing up in other recreational drugs. To combat this issue, unique fentanyl warning stickers were placed in washrooms of bars and nightclubs, a place where recreational drug use is common.
The stunt garnered national press and requests for stickers began to pour in from overdose prevention and law enforcement organizations nationwide.

This didn't win a bunch of awards— we didn't even consider entering it. One of our ex-coworkers and her husband had tragically passed away from drugs laced with fentanyl, leaving behind a small child— which was the impetus to create this campaign about harm reduction. It would have been egregiously insensitive to be trying to win awards on the catastrophic experience of part of our family. To this day, however, this is one of my favourite and most personally rewarding projects I've worked on.
