Many people don’t go to the dentist until they sense a problem in their mouths. Unfortunately, at that point those problems are usually too far gone for many treatment options. Tooth decay, gum disease and oral cancer can be detected much earlier by a dentist conducting an oral exam and, if found in time, they can be treated before they develop into a serious health concern.
